CROP Walk

Another organization that shares in our pursuit of Feeding hungry minds and bodies® is the Church World Service (CWS). They are most familiar to the general public as the sponsors of the national CROP Walk each October to raise money for organizations fighting hunger.

Children’s Hunger Alliance board member Louis Goldfarb and his family participate in the CROP Walk to fight hunger in Ohio.

In conjunction with World Hunger Day, CWS sponsors CROP Walks all across Ohio. As an individual or team walking, you can designate which hunger organization you would like your money to support. With services being delivered in all 88 counties in Ohio, we encourage everyone to designate donations to Children’s Hunger Alliance to support our efforts in your community.

Interested in walking or entering a team? Teams designated by Children’s Hunger Alliance have a greater percentage of their donations directed to Feeding hungry minds and bodies®. Contact Lauren Batzer at 614-341-7700, x264.

M.O.M. was so great in April!
And when M.O.M. is great, that means we're able to feed more hungry kids with nutrious meals. A great big shout-out of "Thanks!" to Pesto Creative Italian Bistro for being our featured Menu of the Month (M.O.M.). And another great big shout-out of "Many Thanks!" to everyone who stopped in at Pesto to savor the wonderful selection of pasta, pizza and salads and remembered to mention Children's Hunger Alliance when paying their bill. Everytime that happened, Pesto donated $1 to the Alliance to help feed hungry kids. It's that easy for any type of restaurant to partner with us to help break the cycle of childhood hunger.
Do you know the owner or manager of a restaurant that would make the perfect M.O.M? Just tell them to contact Julie at 614-223-9200 and we'll do the rest!"
