Sites sponsors vary but may include schools, community centers, public or private non-profit agencies, residential
camps, government agencies, and public or private non-profit colleges or universites with National Youth Sports
Program activities.
Who qualifies
Sites must meet one of these criteria: 1) Location in an area served by a school where 50% or more of students
are enrolled in free or reduced-price meals 2) Location in an area where 50% or more of the population earns less
than 185% of the federal poverty level 3) Income eligibility information gathered from all children verifies that
participants live in households that earn less than 185% of the federal poverty level.

Non-residential child or adult care establishments such as group or family child care, child or adult centers,
homeless shelters, Head Start programs, recreation centers, settlement houses, afterschool programs and selected
for-profit childcare centers (with 25% of children low-income).

All children parrticipating in CACFP sponsored programs receive free meals and/or snacks, bu tprovider reimbursement
rate is based on each child's family income level.

Meals: Children up to age 12,children of migrant workers 15 years and younger, adults over 60 and adults that are
functionally impaired at any age in an adult daycare setting; Snacks: school-agechildren up to 18 years of age.
