#GivingTuesday: Make a Difference for Ohio Children

For #GivingTuesday, Children’s Hunger Alliance is asking our community of supporters to consider the future of food-insecure children and share these bold appeals with #FeedOHFuture.

Do you remember your childhood days spent dreaming about what you would become when you grew up? Did you want to be a police officer, a teacher or a doctor?

These are just some of the aspirations shared by a group of third graders recently as they enjoyed a hot meal provided by Children’s Hunger Alliance at their afterschool program.

One thing that makes these students unique is that they are at risk of food insecurity. They represent the 1 in 4 children in Ohio who do not know where their next meal is coming from. Their future is in our hands.

When you support Children’s Hunger Alliance with a donation today, November 29, 2016, 4_1for #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving, you are helping to fight childhood hunger in Ohio.

Kids who do not eat nutritious meals regularly are more likely to experience developmental delays, problems concentrating and lower test scores when compared to their food-secure peers. Their success in the future depends on meeting their basic needs today.

Every $1 donated can provide up to three healthy meals or snacks that can help at-risk children thrive today and succeed in the future.

11/30/16 Update:

THANK YOU! Your generosity helped raise more than $5,000 on #GivingTuesday to help Ohio children living in food-insecure households. Every donation makes a big difference!
